Of the two specific cases mentioned: the first victim was sold by her father, then escaped but was imprisoned for using forged papers to re-enter Iraq. the second victim became aware she would sold by her father, attempted to take legal action and while waiting for the court system was raped by her father. As mentioned before, The first victim was arrested for attempting to used forged papers to re-enter Iraq, the second victim was arrested after murdering her father. No law enforcement has been involved on the behalf of these victims.
