What happened
A 23-year-old Ghanaian domestic worker was found dead in a car park beneath her employers' fourth-floor home in Beirut's southern suburbs in March 2020, hours after messaging an activist group for help with the abuse she said she was suffering. Her death is part of a pattern of abuse of migrant domestic workers under Lebanon's kafala system.
