After pleading guilty, Nakpangi was convicted of human trafficking ad living of the avails of prostitution in May 2008. He was sentenced to five years: three for trafficking a teenager and two for living off the avails of a teenaged prostitute.
Nakpangi was arrested in November 2007 after the victim contacted police.
The victim has been free since Nakpangi was arrested. During the trial she explained that she suffers from emotional and physical injuries.
