A 15 year old girl was recruted by male pimps to enter the Santa Clara Children's Shelter to befriend girls in the shclter. She then convinced three other girls as young as 13 to run away with her to become prostitutes in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The 15-year old girl was convicted on pimping and sentenced to 60 days in juvenile hall.
One of the girls was able to reach a phone and call for help. She was rescued and testified against the pimps and the 15 year old girl.
