After San Rafael police arrested Parker, he was charged in Marin Superior Court but the case was dismissed in favor of federal prosecution for Sex Trafficking of a Minor, which resulted in a 130 month sentence (June 2008). Response & intervention
San Rafael police spotted the 16-year girl on the street in an area known for prostitution, and she explained she had "met" a man on MySpace.com who had paid for her transportation from Washington state to the Bay Area, then forced her to prostitute for him. Working with police, the victim arranged to meet Parker later that same day, where police arrested him.
No information on victim's care or whereabouts after the arrest.
