1. After questioning by the Smyrna Police Dept., the women in this incident were returned to their homes. 2. Bartow County police went to Norris' home to help release the woman. The FBI trafficking unit was then added to the federal investigation and a search warrant was obtained to search Norris' home. The end result: Norris was sentenced to life in prison by federal jury on 4/1/08. His co-defendants were sentenced: -C. Jackson - 60 months in prison, 3 years of supervised release, fine: $1,500 -A. Allen - 34 months in prison, 3 years of supervised release, fine: $1,500 -ACHUFF - 3 years probation -L. SMITH - 3 years probation There are two incidents that involved Norris. 1. Norris and six or seven women were involved in a dispute in a strip mall when law enforcement were called. All of those involved were separated and some of the women revealed that they were being held against their will. 2. In this incident, one woman was able to escape Norris' home. She notified the Bartow County Police of her situation and also let the police know that another woman was still being held captive at the same house. The victims received counseling; details unknown.
