She is the only child and lived with her parents, grand-mother and great-grand mother. Two years ago both her parents died of AIDS and Laa’s aunt tried to earn money for herself her son and the rest of the family. She moved down to the South and left the family in care of the two old ladies. Laa was only 12 when this all happened. Laa began to work as a prostitute out of her home to supplement her family’s meager income.
