33 year old male, who pleaded guilty earlier this year to sex trafficking a minor, was sentenced to 15 years and eight months. The trafficker convinced a 13 year old girl from Marion, Illinois to run away to Chicago with him. There the trafficker forced her to prostitute herself. He allowed his cousin to rape her. And with the help of two of his “associates” held the girl down and branded her stomach with a tattoo of his middle name. From Chicago she was trafficked to Memphis, Tennessee. There she was able to contact her mother and inform her she was being forced into prostitution. Her mother called Memphis police who arrested the trafficker and took the young girl to Juvenile Detention as a runaway. The FBI later took over the case. The girl also informed the FBI of another 14 year old girl who the trafficker forced into prostitution. The young girl helped her escape. However, the trafficker has not been charged with exploiting anyone else.
