The owner and the cashier of a bar in Daraga, Albay, Phillipines forced 4 girls between the ages of 14-16 years old to work in the bar as "guest relations officers" All four girls had been trafficked from the near by town of Manilla. A fifth girl who had been there had escaped and made her way back to Manilla where she reported the bar to authorities.

Response & intervention
The NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) investigated the bar using undercover operatives. The traffickers were tried and convicted in Manilla where they both were sentenced to 20 years in prison on November 27, 2008.
When the escaped victim reported the bar to authorities the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) sent in undercover operatives to investigate the bar and confirm that minors were working in the bar.Once this was confirmed they arrested the bar's owner and the bar's cashier.
Victims were sent back to Manilla with their families.
One of the victims managed to escape the bar and made her way back to Manilla where she then went to law enforcement for help.
