All the 30 traffickers, led by Chen Qi Zai, are from Fuan, Fujian. They traffick/purchase infants from Guangxi, Yunan...; each child is priced around 30000-40000 yuan (around 5000 dollars), the traffickers typically add 3000-4000 rmb (400 dollars)then sell the kids for profit. They buy and sell a group of children on a monthly rate with a local who finds families that are interested in buying.

The Chinese police followed a lead of a rural woman who evidently makes 800 dollars worth of long-distance phone calls. They then went undercover as possibly child buyers and busted the traffickers. About 6 infants were rescued.
The women in the local police force are taking care of the infants with a few volunteers.
