The intervention was organized by Interpol centered in Adidjan. They found 50+ children ages 11-16 both male and female being used as plantation workers on cocoa farms, with some of the girls doubling as household servants in addition to their duties in the fields.

Response & intervention
Interpol organized the effort between 300 Ivorian law enforcement officers and mobile police teams.
The children were interviewed by investigators specially trained in child exploitation and human traffickng. It is unknown at this point whether they received additional aftercare.
