Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) chief David Tembe is willing to take action. When the journalists from Carte Blanche spoke to Tembe, he said, “As JMPD, we will work hand-in-hand to assist in bringing this to justice. Whatever investigation that you have done, please let us know so that I can contact crime intelligence from the SAPS and we'll work together to ensure that this comes to an end.” The Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities was also shocked by this investigation. Nolu Thando Mayende-Sibiya (Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities) commented: “We are going to ensure that there is a full investigation into the issues challenging the people here. I must say, we are concerned about what is happening. The problem is bigger than what it seems.”
