Mr. Kiguli claimed he had work for a 14 year old boy in Kampala. Once in the city, he brought the boy to a dormitory of children. He forced the boy to collect scrap with the other children. He received sever beatings. After an argument with a boy in his dorm, he was taken outside, tied to a pole and beaten.

A neighbor became aware of the boy's situation and referred him to UYDEL
Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) provides counseling and trauma therapy for victims and gets them tested for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Those is need of health care are taken to treatment centers and are rehabilitated to good health. UYDEL also provides training in life-skills and vocational skills like hairdressing, tailoring, electronics, catering, welding, carpentry and plumbing. A team of trained local artisans mentors the youths into skills that will enable them to find employment and start their own businesses.
