Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) provides counseling and trauma therapy for victims and gets them tested for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Those is need of health care are taken to treatment centers and are rehabilitated to good health. UYDEL also provides training in life-skills and vocational skills like hairdressing, tailoring, electronics, catering, welding, carpentry and plumbing. A team of trained local artisans mentors the youths into skills that will enable them to find employment and start their own businesses. Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) - UG-UYD-20090330-00005 A 16 year old girl was deceived by her Aunt that she had a good job for her, but when she was brought to work, she was denied food, forced to do difficult labor, and beaten severely. She escaped from her employer's residence and sought refuge at a friend's residence, then made her way to Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL).
