In 2005, federal authorities arrested Mr. England, who was living in Fort Lauderdale, on charges of obtaining and using a passport by fraud. After serving a short sentence in federal prison in California, he went to a state prison to serve out his six-year sentence for the 1977 molesting charges. Federal prosecutors in South Florida said that Mr. England would be transported to Florida in the coming days to face charges of trafficking a minor across state lines for sexual purposes. These “charges will likely prevent a notorious convicted child molester from preying on other children,” said Jeffrey H. Sloman, United States attorney for the Southern District of Florida.If convicted on the additional charges, Mr. England could face life in prison.
