Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) provides counseling and trauma therapy for victims and gets them tested for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Those is need of health care are taken to treatment centers and are rehabilitated to good health. UYDEL also provides training in life-skills and vocational skills like hairdressing, tailoring, electronics, catering, welding, carpentry and plumbing. A team of trained local artisans mentors the youths into skills that will enable them to find employment and start their own businesses. Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) - UG-UYD-20090422-00008 An 18 year old girl was promised by her trafficker a better job to enable her to help her poverty stricken family but instead was exploited, denied food, experienced difficult labor, delayed payments, and assaults. She eventually found her way to Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL).
