Girl Fest Hawaii and Equality Now led a publicity campaign to alert the public about Melvin Hamaguchi's sex-tours. This campaign led to the successful passage of HB2020 sign into law as Act 82, making the selling of sex-tours a Class C Felony.
Equality Now www.equalitynow.org and Girl Fest Hawaii www.girlfesthawaii.org led the grassroots investigation of Video Travel's activities.
