After one of the girls escaped bondage, she sought police help. Investigators from the Oakland Police Dept. pursued Turner and later arrested him. Turner was tried in the Alameda County Superior Court, before Judge Cecilia Castellanos on June 25, 2010. After a single day of deliberation, the jurors found Turner guilty of two counts of kidnapping for financial gain from the female body, two counts of forcible rape and one count each of forcible oral copulation, pandering and human trafficking.
