Daniel Cortez and Jonquell Jones . Cortez, 19, and Jones, 22, are suspected of preying on six juveniles and one adult, mostly girls between 15 and 17, primarily in west Phoenix since 2006. They were the latest of a handful of men, including two school employees, arrested this month in separate cases on suspicion of targeting juveniles for sex.

Investigators called the case one of the most significant joint child-sex-crimes collaborations between Phoenix police and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
Phoenix has conducted dozens of child-prostitution investigations that led to 80 or more arrests, indictments or convictions since officers rescued a 15-year-old girl in 2005 from a couple who kidnapped her, held her captive for 42 days in a dog kennel, and sold her for gang rapes.
