Adam Jermaine Ingram, 20, and Kevin Roy Woods, 18, forced two Canadian girls, ages 13 and 14, to have sex with them and others as they trafficked the girls between Vancouver, Seattle and Portland. The girls were in foster homes when they were abducted by Woods and Ingram. The 13-year-old told authorities that two Americans bought her from a Vancouver man for $3,000 on Dec. 12. The FBI said the men intended to take both girls to San Diego and make them work in an escort agency. Along the way, they stopped in Bellingham and Seattle and forced the girls to have sex with them and with other men.

Portland police rescued the girls and brought them into protective custody, then assisted in theie return to Canada on Christmas Eve.
After the 13-year-old called Portland police, the girls were put in protective custody on Dec. 16.
The girls were placed in protective custody in Portland on Dec. 16, and they were released from the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on Christmas Eve. They spent Christmas Day at an undisclosed Vancouver-area location under the care of the Ministry of Children and Families. "These girls have been through an extremely difficult time, and they need to be in B.C. with our supportive care," said Penny Priddy, provincial minister for children and families. "I'm pleased we were able to arrange for their return to Canada."

On December 16, a man who paid for sex took pity on the 13-year-old and let her use a cell phone to call home. That call led the girl to call 911, reaching Portland police.
