65 year old Author of "The International Who's Who of Chefs 2004-2005" Joseph Yannai surrendered himself to police authorities may 18, 2009 after allegations of human trafficking and sexual abuse. He promissed to pay the girls $2000.00 a month to work for him, and have housing elsewhere, also receiving $20,000.00 at the end of the year. The girls realized very quickly something was not right. Their e-mails were monitered, they did not get any spending money, and there were pictures of Joseph having sex with other women up to six or seven who are believed to be victims. There are allegations that these women were forced to do manual labour for Joseph as well as being forced into sexual acts with Joseph.

Jospeh Yannai surrendered to police, but was posted on a $100,000.00 bail.He's been charged with two counts of labor trafficking and one count of sex abuse. One article reports that if other victims are found and more evidence if brought forward, further charges can also be laid. Case still in the legal process.
21 year old Hungarian victim along with a hungarian women she had come into contact with reported the incident, where a case was made and later passed onto state police.
Both the Hungarian woman and a Brazilian woman are staying in a shelter, reports say.

When one Of the women trafficked by Joseph Yannai, a 21 year old woman from Hungary found out she was going to be sexually coerced, she escaped and received support from a fellow Hungarian in the area. They reported Jospeh Yannai to local Pound Ridge authorities.
