Jorge Carrasco Sanchez trafficked a woman to the US on April 29, 2002. Sanchez met the 16-year old victim in Ojinaga, Mexico, and brought her to the US. She was sexually assaulted by Sanchez, and he also threatened to kill her.

Sanchez was convicted of transporting of a juvenile in foreign commerce to engage in criminal sexual activity, importing an alien for immoral purpose, and harboring an illegal alien.
On May 20, 2002, the victim escaped Sanchez and went to the authorities for help.
