Federal prosecutors said Byron Thompson, 25, and Lea Bell, 29, both of Reisterstown,were sentenced to 10 years in prison for the sex trafficking of minors in Maryland, New York and Washington, D.C. The men were also ordered at sentencing Thursday to register as sex offenders. According to court documents, Thompson and Bell recruited minors to engage in commercial sex acts. They rented more than 100 hotel rooms and recruited sex workers through friends, clubs, bars and the Internet. The pair also posted ads on the Internet to attract sex customers. From January to February 2009, Thompson and Bell prostituted two 15-year-old girls and one 17-year-old girl in Maryland.
