Yes and No Yes: The head of the Tourist Police Force, Andres Mendez comments that due to their involvement with the trafficking and exploitation of children, they have been able to reduce the visibility of the exploitation of children on the streets. No: At the same time now that there is a reduction of visibility it does not mean that it is not happening behind closed doors because it is. Ana Luz Sanchez commented that the police force does nothing to help these children, however they only get involved if someone files a report. Even then it is highly probable that nothing will be done to help these children.

Andres Mendez Martinez who works along with the Alliance for the Protection of Children commented that due to various nonprofit organizations and the Tourist Police Force there has been a reduction to the trafficking of children.
The children were taken to the Center for the Protection of Children (DIF) in Tijuana, Baja Califonia that is located in Avenida Tecnológico número 2100, locales 32 al 35 de la Plaza Americana, Delegación Mesa de Otay. This is nonprofit organization that helps children as well as adults with aftercare, especially in housing, food, education, and psychological help as well.
There are many different workers and volunteers that dedicate their time to comfort and help children and adults that are rescued.
Reported by Ana Luz Sanchez Aguirre in the Newspaper of Tijuana (El Sol de Tijuana). Ana Luz Sanchez reports two cases in la Plaza Santa Cecilia, where two young boys ages 13 and 16 were being forced into child prostitution. Ana Luz Sanchez also reports a case in la avenida Revolucion where they were able to rescue two boys’ ages of 15 and 16 who were being forced into prostitution as well.
