Junk Won Hwang, age 29, has been smuggling roughly 20 illegal immigrants a month to the US through Canada. He entered the country illegally in 1990 and was deported in 1999. He has since been cooperating with authorities to crack down on human trafficking between the US, Canada, and Korea.

The US district courts in Seattle have found Hwang guilty of 17 different counts of human trafficking. He has since been deported and is cooperating with authorities. It is not known what has happened to the brothels he was said to be working with.
