Ivory police were responsible for the discovery, stopping the transporting vehicles at Soubre, Ivory Coast.

Two children were turned over to their mother at Meagui. Three were turned over to the custody of someone from the Burkina Faso consulat. The remaining were unaccompanied and were sent back to Burkina Faso for repatriation.
