The trafficker approached a widowed woman with seven children and offered to take two of the children (a boy and a girl) to South Africa so that he could educate them and take care of their needs. The poor and burdened mother agreed and the children were smuggled to Mbuzini, where they were kept for a few weeks before they learnt that they were meant to be killed, for the harvesting of their body parts to be used for ritual purposes.

Response & intervention
The children somehow managed to relate their message back home and were later rescued by their brother in law who smuggled them back home.
They were able to get word to family members who helped them escape.
