From 2000 to 2005 Jimmie Lee Jones, also known as “Mike Spade,” conspired to force six victims to engage in commercial sex acts. Jones knew that two of the victims were minors. He recruited young women at colleges, stores, events, and restaurants saying he represented a successful modeling and casting agency- called either Candy Girl Casting or Dime Piece Entertainment. An associate, names Michelle, a woman who had found modeling work would recruit victims as potential models. After the victims became comfortable around him, he told them it was necessary that they work in strip clubs as dancers, because they needed to be more comfortable with their bodies before they could be models. Five of the victims signed contracts stating they would pay him between $300 and $450 every week for 52 weeks. The contracts states that Jones would find them work modeling or in music videos. He also required that the women give him their social security number. Jones then became physically and verbally abusive. Under these threats, Jones forced the victims to travel, primarily to Florida, Alabama, and Indiana, to engage in prostitution.
