Five victims from Tampa and one from St. Petersburg were held victims of human trafficking and forced to work in prostitution and advertised on the internet. Some of the locations included Nebraska Avenue motels and casios.. All the victims were 16 or 17 years old. Four of the six victims were identified as endangered runaway children by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Response & intervention
Law enforcement removed the victims from the situation. The arrests were part of “Operation Cross Country II” which occurred across the United States the week of October 20.
