Ishwarlai Kalidas Patel, 72, one of three managers at the Thrift Travel Inn,was indicted by a grand jury on prostitution, human trafficking and conspiracy charges after allegedly arranging sexual services for an undercover police officer. Ramanbhai Patel, 59, and Dakshaben Patel, 55, were also charged but have not yet been indicted. The State Attorney commented "They're profiting financially from arranging appointments between individuals for the purposes of prostotution and/or demanding compensation from the (women.)"

Charges were made after sex services werer offered to an uncover police officer.
Ishwarlai Patel was indicted after allegedly arranging sex for an uncover police officer. The other two managers were also charged and scheduled to appear before the District Court of Maryland for Wicomico County later this month. In addition to the trafficking charges, the three managers and the hotel's owner and director, Ajay patel, along with a second director, Nita Patel, are named in a four page injunction which states that city and county inspectors found numerous code violations within the motel.
