They recovered more than $2,700 in cash, cameras, a laptop and computer as well as small amounts of crack cocaine and heroin. At the time of his arrest, Bonaparte was out on bond from a June 24th charge of soliciting for a prostitute. On that occasion, Bonaparte tried to recruit an undercover officer on Mannheim Rd. to work for him as a prostitute. Bonaparte has been arrested fifty-five times previously, and has nine convictions for offenses including pimping, manufacture and delivery of cocaine, possession of a stolen vehicle, and theft. The Cook County Sheriff’ Police Vice Unit arrested Bonaparte after responding to a suspicious ad posted on the Escorts section of the website Backpage.com. The ad contained solicitations such as “Sexy Crystal is here to please and pamper you”, “Call me before 1 a.m. and get your discount”, and “Girlfriend experience”. Bonaparte forced three women to prostitute themselves for his profit. He allegedly took sexually provocative photos of the women and posted the pictures in internet ads for escort services.
