INTERPOL acknowledges the problems in Cenetral America.In Costa Rica, Casa Alianza has filed about 400 criminal complaints with the office of the special prosecutor. Owing to the apathy and inefficiency of the judicial system, which is being blamed for hindering efforts to put an end to child prostitution, most of these cases have not been prosecuted.
