Modern slavery in Oman

The victim- a woman of foreign origin to Oman was employed in Muscat as a housemaid by a sponsor. The woman was then reportedly coerced by a man (accused 1) to “run away” from her sponsors, and come work for him as a prostitute as she would “receive more money”. After having sex with her, this man then sold her to a second man for RO 100 ($34 USD). The second man (accused 2) then earned a living from her, using her as a prostitute. He turned his home into a brothel and men would visit and pay him money to have sex with her.
