Los Angeles Police received a call from Cherise's mother after she called her mother when she was stuck in a hotel room with Green. The case was investigated by the Beaverton police force as well. The Oregon Trafficking Task Force, a group of federal and local agencies also took part in the investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Kerin. U.S. District Court Judge Garr M. King was responsible for the sentencing of Green to six years in federal prison and three years of heavy surveillance following the prison sentence.

The half-black, half-white 15-year-old victim, Cherise Westerman, was rescued in August of 2007 when she was found in a Los Angeles hotel room with Green following a call the victim made home (the call which ended up getting L.A. police involved). .
Although Cherise did get pulled back briefly into trafficking following Green's arrest. Thanks to her mother, Cherise is now receiving mental health services in order to recover. Sarah, the 22-year-old victim, needed facial reconstructive surgery following her many beatings from Green during her work for him. Though originally from Vancouver, WA, she returned to the track in NE Portland. The police discovered her with a couple of men in a car a few weeks later with a pipe of crack. No information could be found on the other two victims of Green's miniature trafficking operation
