Rishi Sanwal, 23 year old. Lived in El Dorado hills with his parents in a multi-million dollar mansion located at 3105 Hopkins Place in El Dorado Hills. On March 18 Kacie was seen entering Sanwal’s maroon colored Hummer outside a Safeway in the Stonegate Village near Francisco and Green Valley roads. Sanwal then used force, fraud, and coercion to cause a 17-year- old girl to engage in prostitution. Sanwal gave the victim the name “Amy” and used that name when he posted ads on the Craigslist erotic services section. He took the victim from El Dorado to the Bay area, before returning to Rocklin, CA and posting another Craigslist advertisement. Then once again they returned to the Bay Area.

Information used to create the on-line Craigslist ads has been linked to Sanwal. On July 17, 2008 Rishi Sanwal was arrested by FBI agents and Sacramento Police detectives assigned to the FBI Crimes Against Children Safe Streets Task Force. The arrest occurred near the intersection of Green Valley Road and Francisco Drive, and was without incident. Following the arrest FBI agents and police searched Sanwal’s parents’ home located at 3105 Hopkins Place in El Dorado Hills. Sanwal is currently being held at the Sacramento County Jail. If convicted of all charges he faces a minimum sentence of 10 yrs to life in prison, a lifetime term of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.
Approximately six days after Kacie went missing she placed a call to a friend and she said that she was in the Bay Area. The caller ID was traced to several on-line ads placed in the erotic section of Craigslist. Undercover officers made contact with a woman using the name “Kimberly” and arranged a meeting.
