The Tangerang police arrested the suspects at a house in Vila Regensi Tangerang housing complex, Gebang Raya subdistrict, Tangerang municipality on January 14 and processed the case until the dossiers were handed down to Tangerang prosecutors office. Prosecutors then brought the case to be tried at the Tangerang District court. In the prosecution, Prosecutor Riyadi had asked the District court to sentence the six women to 12 years jail term for selling a three months old baby worth Rp 13 million to Dora in Golodok, West Jakarta. Dora would sell the baby to a man call Along in North Sumatra.

Response & intervention
Both the police and prosecutor told me that were very disappointed with the court's verdict the free them. 14 days after the case was decided, prosecutor Riyadi filed appeal to the Supreme Court for the District Courts verdict. So far, there has yet to be any progress of the case.
