In Lexington County, South Carolina recently, authorities arrested a Batesburg-Leesville bondsman on the charge of forced labor after he was accused of making a woman do sexual favors and work for him in exchange for bail. According to the McClatchy News Service, sheriff's deputies arrested Curtis Jackson Maroney, 51, on charges of blackmail and human trafficking charges, the sheriff's department said.
