Two 25 yrs old men from Romania lured two 16 year old children from Gugesti, a village in Romania to come to Sweden where they would get good jobs. In order to legally get the boys out of the nation, the parents signed a consent form. The form requires an address where the children will be living. The traffickers provided a fraudulent address (in fact, the address is to a prison in Finland!). As soon as the boys arrived in Sweden they were forced to steal to provide money for the men. They stole a car, food and telephones during their first two months. At least of the boys was beaten.

In the summer of 1998, Schneider traveled to Moscow, Russia where he told two ballet instructors at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography that he was willing to provide “assistance” to students attending the academy. The instructors identified a 12-year old student whose family could no longer afford to pay his board. Schneider convinced the boy’s parents to allow him to live with Schneider in an apartment a few blocks from the school. From the fall of 1998 until 2004, Schneider engaged in a sexual relationship with the victim, bringing him to Philadelphia for a summer program in 2001, then returning to Moscow with the victim in August 2001 to continue the sexual relationship. Schneider paid for private ballet lessons at the apartment, and provided the victim with food and clothing. But he told the youngster to keep their relationship a secret. They had oral sex approximately three times a week and later anal sex about four times a week when he was 14 and 15 years old. The victim was exploited sexually (as a domestic sex servant), with the provision of room and board as a means of coercion.

The charges in the criminal Complaint are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Follow-up January 20, 2011: Lawrence Taylor to Register as Sex Offender http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/13/sportsline/main7243830.shtml Hall of Fame Linebacker Lawrence Taylor Pleads Guilty to Two Misdemeanors for Sex With 16-Year-Old Prostitute (AP) NEW CITY, N.Y. - Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty Thursday to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute, misdemeanor charges that carry no jail time but require him to register as a sex offender. The 51-year-old ex-linebacker, who led the New York Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991, will serve six years probation. “She told me she was 19,” Taylor said in court as he admitted having sex with a prostitute who turned out to be a 16-year-old Bronx runaway. Harry Carson, his former teammate and fellow Hall of Famer, was in the courtroom and gave Taylor a supportive greeting when he arrived. Taylor was arrested in May at a suburban hotel. He previously had pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child. He had been resisting a plea deal for months. Prosecutors said in December he had been offered a six-month jail term and 10 years' probation in exchange for pleading guilty to a felony. Taylor would have had to register as a sex offender. Defense attorney Arthur Aidala had called that offer unacceptable but said he would listen to any other offers. Two other members of the Giants' 1991 Super Bowl team are behind bars. Mark Ingram Sr., a star receiver, is spending nearly 10 years in federal prison for money laundering, bank fraud and bail jumping. And the electrifying kick returner Dave Meggett was sentenced last year to 30 years for criminal sexual conduct and burglary. Taylor's trial would likely have started within a few weeks. He was arrested May 6 after the underage girl's uncle contacted New York City police. Officers from Ramapo woke him at a Holiday Inn in Montebello. Police said he was cooperative and no drugs were found in the room, although a bottle of alcohol was. Taylor has a history of drug offenses but has been to rehab and his lawyer says he has been sober for years. In a related case, federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed a complaint last year against a man who is accused of acting as the girl's pimp. Court papers in that case say Taylor admitted to sex acts with the girl but said he was told the girl was 19. Ramapo police Chief Peter Brower said after Taylor's arrest that ignorance of a minor's age is not a defense to third-degree rape. Aidala had claimed that Taylor's arrest was illegal because police did not have a warrant when they burst into his suburban hotel room in May. Prosecutors said no warrant was required and state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly rejected the claim. But he granted a pretrial hearing on whether statements Taylor made upon his arrest were admissible. Aidala said in December he was relishing the chance to cross-examine the arresting police officers. Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. A fierce, athletic linebacker, he redefined his position and was selected to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. In 2009, he competed in ABC's “Dancing With the Stars.” He had also been a spokesman for the NutriSystem weight-loss company, but he was dropped after his arrest.

http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=15&art_id=vn20100422124204355C380047 The trafficker involved in this investigation is a woman who is suspected to be a part of a larger trafficking ring run out of a warehouse that she owns in Parow, Cape Town. Operating under the guise of an employment agency, they would target girls in rural areas in the Norther Cape (such as Prieska) and bring them to Cape Town under the promise of providing a better life and good jobs with good salaries. Instead the girls found themselves working in the woman’s house or in the shops of people that she knew. The girls were often accused of making a mistake with the till in the shop and would receive large cuts in their pay – some never saw a pay cheque at all. Those who were lucky enough to work in the woman’s house would receive the occasional portion of rice and meat, but usually they were only fed dry bread in the morning and baked beans for supper in the evenings. After being rescued one of the young women told the officers that she had had a miscarriage the week before, but had not received any medical attention. She said that when she had told the warehouse owner, she simply replied that t was “not her problem.” Although the woman who owned the warehouse claimed that the girls could leave at any time, the young women told police that they were locked into the property at night and that they were not allowed to leave the warehouse. They were held captive and not even allowed to approach the front of the warehouse, but were told they must remain at the back.

STEPHEN MCKESSON, 24, of Citrus Heights, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Garland E. Burrell Jr. to 235 months in prison and restitution of $20,000 for sex trafficking of children by force, fraud, or coercion. MCKESSON pleaded guilty on May 19, 2009. MCKESSON pleaded guilty to transporting the victim, a 16-year-old Sacramento female, from Sacramento to Redwood City for the purpose of prostitution. The defendant had met this victim when she was 13 and he was approximately 16 years of age. When she was no older than 14, the defendant convinced the victim to work as a prostitute by telling her that if she loved him, she would prostitute for him. The victim worked as a prostitute for the defendant off and on for parts of the next five years, giving him all of the money that she earned through prostitution. The victim would travel to other cities in California and go door-to-door in certain apartment buildings while working for MCKESSON. On many occasions, the victim had run away from home, and each time that she was contacted by law enforcement and taken into custody, MCKESSON would convince her to leave her foster home to return to prostitution. MCKESSON used force to manipulate the victim into working for him as a prostitute. The violence began with relatively minor physical contact. Over time, his level of violence toward his victim increased, progressing to kicking and beating her in the head. The victim continued to work for him until 2008 at which time the violence had progressed to forcible sodomy and rape. The victim stated that she continued to work for him because he threatened to take her two children.
