Jeffrey Fisher was arrested for promoting prostitution, witness tampering and eluding police. He had met Stephanie, a 14 year old girl on an online chat room. They quickly started a sexual relationship. In July on 2006, she agreed to work as a prostitute. Though she pulled in nearly $500 a day working along the stretch of Aurora known to prostitutes and police as "the track", she said the money wasn't nearly enough for Fisher. He gambled away the money she earned, beat her if he was unhappy, called her names and followed her, demanding that she work harder. Within months the beatings worsened and escalated into death threats. She begged police to take her to jail so she could get away from Fisher. She went to Children of the Night in Los Angeles last February and stayed about 3 months - until she was desperate to see Fisher. In May, after returning to Aurora, she's finally had enough. She helped the Seattle Police Department Vice Unit go after Fisher. He was finally arrested after fleeing to California.

Chumbow was also forced to care for Mubang’s children as well as a neighbor’s child, and slept on the floor. The victim was not allowed to attend school, or to leave the home except for designated tasks. She was mentally, verbally, and physically abused. The King County Prosecutor's office last week charged DeShawn "Cash Money" Clark with the crime as part of an ongoing case it launched in November against several defendants reputedly associated with a gang called the "West Side Street Mobb." Clark is alleged to have preyed upon his longtime relationship with an on-again, off-again girlfriend. According to the court papers, he and his buddies promised to take care of her if she became a prostitute and gave them the proceeds. They stashed her at various hotels, where she would keep her sex earnings in the rooms' bibles, and advertised her services on Craigslist. Clark used her for sex, and sometimes would act nice. At other times, he would beat her, like when she wasn't making enough money for him. The West Side Street Mob used other women the same way, according to the court papers. Investigators believe members of a gang called the Westside Street Mobb forced 12 women and girls to perform sex acts for money, beat them and took the money they earned over several months last year, according to charges filed in King County Superior Court

The District Attorney said that, according to trial testimony, in August 2008, the 19-year-old victim was “sold” to Brown by an ex-girlfriend who was an acquaintance of the victim’s for $2,000. The defendant told the victim that she would be his “bitch” and that she would work as a prostitute in order to earn him money. Brown also told her that she was not allowed to talk to her family or friends or leave his apartment without him or else he would beat her and cut up her body to make sure that no one would know she was dead. Whenever Brown left the location, he would have someone watch the victim to make sure that she didn’t leave. Trial testimony also revealed that Brown took nude photographs of the victim in various poses and posted the photographs on Craigslist to advertise her services as a prostitute. Testimony showed that during a 12-day period in August the victim engaged in sexual acts with approximately thirty men in exchange for cash – ranging from $60 to $200 – which she turned over to Brown. Finally, on August 23, 2008, the victim managed to escape from Brown’s residence when left alone. However, the next morning, Brown and an unapprehended male found her at a location on Lefferts Avenue near Far Rockaway. Brown and the unapprehended male who was holding a gun approached her and Brown grabbed her by the wrist and said that she had to come back with him to earn him money as a prostitute before forcing her into a car. District Attorney Brown said that Brown and a co-defendant, Nino Isakadze, 21, were originally arrested on August 24, 2008, on charges of raping the victim and forcing her into prostitution. At their arraignments, bail was set at $200,000 for Brown and $50,000 for Isakadze. When the case was about to be presented to a grand jury, authorities learned that the victim had run away. Unable to locate the victim and proceed with the case in a timely fashion, the Court was forced to release the defendants without bail pursuant to Criminal Procedure Law 180.80. The victim was subsequently found on September 23, 2008, when she was arrested on a charge of loitering for the purposes of prostitution. A joint investigation by the New York City Police Department and the Queens District Attorney’s Office revealed that Brown’s brother, Devon Gordon, 27, of 656 Grassmere Terrace in Queens, had paid the victim not to testify and then hid her. Gordon has since pleaded guilty to tampering with a witness and was sentenced to a conditional discharge. Isakadze, who has been indicted on charges of first-degree rape and fourth-degree promoting prostitution, is a fugitive.

Two girls, ages 15 and 14, came home from school as many teens do each day. They did homework, finished their chores and then asked a common request from their parents - the two girls wanted to walk to a nearby Wendy's Restaurant to grab a couple of frozen desserts. The restaurant was less than a mile from their homes, so their parents had no reason to deny the request. The two young girls, both good students and trusted by their parents, set off on their quest just before evening. On the way there, a car pulled up next to the girls and one of them thought she recognized the driver - Deric Willoughby - as the father of a classmate. The mistaken identity led her and her cousin to trust Willoughby enough to get into his car to allow him to drive them to the Wendy's. They were grateful for the ride. The ride, however, was the beginning of their captivity. Willoughby drove to his home, just a couple of miles across town from the teens' homes. He and his accomplices gave them new names (Ambrosia and Heavenly) and fitted them for skimpy outfits after telling them that they would be forced to have sex with men for money. Willoughby used his connections to arrange for a driver to pick up the teens and take them from Ohio and across state lines to truck stops in Michigan where the girls could easily be sold for an evening's entertainment. Both of the girls were forced to service multiple customers. The girls were kept at Willoughby's house during the day and pimped at night. One night, something happened that Willoughby wasn't expecting. One of the truck drivers called the police after being disgusted that such young girls were being offered to truckers at his stop. The call alerted the local sheriffs department which immediately responded. The entire crew was stopped and questioned, save for the 15-year-old, who was being raped in nearby truck. The 14-year-old gave officers a fake name and told them she was over 18. Something about her demeanor prompted sheriff's deputies to arrest her and send Willoughby and his crew packing. Information about this incident came from ABC News which did an in-depth report about this case in Ohio: http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/Story?id=5382645&page=1
